About The Pavilion Dining

The Pavilion Dining is a cozy Abuja dining spot serving traditional Nigerian breakfast classics with a modern café feel. It’s an extension of Akara Cafe, so think Akara Cafe but a bit more upscale. Stopped by for brunch with my sister and we tried the akara, pap, omelette, pancakes, tsumbuka, and hibiscus iced tea. The food was great and came out in good time. If you’re already familiar with Akara Cafe, then you can expect their usual standard. A special mention goes to the tsumbuka. I loved it so much I’d honestly go back just for it. It’s bread dipped in bean batter and deep fried. Think bread and akara, but simplified. It also reminded me a bit of French toast, but with a Nigerian twist. Also really enjoyed the hibiscus iced tea, and the staff were very pleasant.
